Volunteer at Z-PAC Theatre

Z-PAC is run entirely by volunteers with a shared love of community and theatre. Whatever your skills or time, there's a place for you.

Make friends, make theatre

Firm friendships are formed as volunteers help keep the theatre producing quality shows for the Fraser Coast. There are no demands or expectations: Z-PAC is happy to welcome you in whatever capacity you can help, whether that's one night a year or every week.

Volunteers who help with a show are invited to our Show Preview Nights, and the theatre offers training for volunteers, including RSA and First Aid.

All volunteers need to be a Z-PAC member to take part in activities at the theatre. Find out about membership.

Ways you can help

On stage

Act in a production, or direct one. New directors are always welcome: see show proposals.

Backstage

Stage management, sound and lighting (experienced or willing to learn), set design and construction, costumes, hair and makeup.

Front of house

Sell tickets, usher, and welcome the audience. Bar volunteers need an RSA, or be willing to get one (we'll help).

Around the theatre

Administration, garden maintenance, handyman jobs and sprucing up the foyer.

Tell us where you'd like to help and we'll be in touch about the next show. No commitment: you can change your mind at any time.

Committee and executive roles

There are executive and non-executive roles. The executive team is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting and carries out its duties throughout the year. Nominations go to the Secretary at [email protected], or by mail to Z-PAC Theatre, PO Box 120, Pialba QLD 4655.

You can read about the different volunteer roles in the volunteer role descriptions (PDF). Have a particular skill you think could help? Email the President at [email protected], or [email protected] to sign up for a shift on the next show.
